Le Modèle

A house, not a cart.

Champagne retail asks what you want to buy. A cercle asks who you want to sit with. For $200 a month, or $2,160 a year, you are not purchasing inventory — you are holding a seat inside a small French house that ordinarily has no door for Americans.

Auguste Rèmes was born from the meeting of two people: Damien, heir to a line of winemakers on the Montagne de Reims, who knows every gesture from vine to bottle; and Julien, an aesthete of luxury who gives each cuvée its form. Your dues buy allocation rights on what they make, a place at four tables a year, and the quiet privilege of knowing them.

"A haute couture Champagne, conceived as a work of art, made for rare moments and demanding palates."

— Maison Auguste Rèmes, Montagne de Reims

Member Privileges

What is given, and what is earned with time.

I

The Quarterly Caisse

Four times a year a case arrives at your door in standard 750 ml format: Auguste Rèmes premier cru alongside still wines chosen by Damien — Coteaux Champenois, Burgundy from small parcels, growers we drink with rather than read about. Magnums and bespoke cuvées are not part of the quarterly caisse; they are quoted separately and billed as a supplement.

II

Champagne & Armagnac

Beyond the Champagne, the house acquires old spirit: single-estate Bas-Armagnac from Gascon families, bought by the cask, bottled under our own pewter and never repeated.

III

The Table

Every three months we set a table: a Champagne salon in Miami, or a long weekend in the Marne. Chefs cook, Damien and Julien pour, and the guest list stays under thirty.

IV

Direct Line

Text the house. Ask which cuvée to open tonight, request a magnum engraved for an anniversary, arrange lunch at the domaine in August. Answered by Damien and Julien, never by a call center.

V

The First Anniversary Gift

After twelve months of continuous membership, each member receives a bottle of Bas-Armagnac from his birth year — 1965 to 1998 — bottled at cask strength and dressed in pewter.

VI

The Long-Term Allocation Program

At five, ten and fifteen years, standing unlocks access to rare casks, numbered collector editions and heritage coffrets that are never released to the waitlist or the trade.

Champagne bottle finished with a hand-cast pewter label

Savoir-faire

Labels cast in pewter, by hand, one at a time.

The luxury of Champagne is not only in the bubble. Our bottles are dressed in hand-worked pewter — vine leaves, grapes, and lettering struck in metal by a French atelier, so that the bottle survives the evening it was opened for. Every piece is slightly its own.

  • Premier cru fruit from the Montagne de Reims only
  • Pinot noir at the heart, meunier for fruit, chardonnay for line
  • Hand-cast pewter labels and neck ornaments
  • Engraved magnums for members, on request

Sur mesure

Your name, your crest, your occasion — struck in pewter.

Members may commission bespoke cuvées dressed in hand-cast pewter: a company name engraved for a board dinner, a wedding date for a table of twelve, a birth year for a child's cellar. The wine stays Auguste Rèmes premier cru; the ornament becomes yours. Magnum and bespoke requests sit outside the quarterly caisse: each one is quoted individually and billed as a supplement to your dues.

  • Corporate cuvées with your company name or logo
  • Weddings, anniversaries, births and private celebrations
  • Hand-cast pewter labels and neck ornaments, one at a time
  • Magnums and bespoke cuvées: by quote only, charged as a supplement
  • Quarterly caisses ship in standard 750 ml format

"A bottle is given. A bottle with your name struck in metal is remembered."

For members and private commissions

Because every piece is struck by hand in the French atelier, no two commissions are identical. Minimums and lead times vary by season; the concierge will reply with a detailed quote and production calendar.

Acquisition & Allocation

We buy the cask. You are allocated the bottles.

The house travels to Gascony each year to taste and buy old eaux-de-vie — Bas-Armagnac from single estates, purchased outright by the cask, rested, then drawn off under the Aeterna Custodia pewter. Nothing is blended to a house style and nothing is made twice.

Cuvée Brut Vitis Sacra

The sacred vine. Premier cru from the Montagne de Reims, pinot noir at its heart, dressed in hand-cast pewter — the cercle is served before any allocation reaches the trade.

Cuvée Rosé Brut Marcia

A rosé of quiet intensity from the same premier cru slopes, produced in strictly limited numbers and offered to members first, magnums included.

Magnums & millésimes

Pewter-dressed magnums and vintage releases of both cuvées, held back from trade and divided among members at each release.

First Anniversary Armagnac

Single-vintage Bas-Armagnac from 1965 to 1998, offered as a gift after twelve continuous months of membership.

Chalk cellar with riddling racks of Champagne bottles

Nos racines

A plateau between Reims and Épernay, and the vines Rome planted.

The Montagne de Reims is a forested plateau rising to 286 metres, its slopes planted on chalk. The forest regulates the heat; cold air falls to the plain at night while warm air slides down over the vines, ripening even the north-facing coteaux.

Pinot noir holds sixty percent of the surface here — vigorous, generous, at home in limestone. It gives our wines their frame: firm, fresh, and perfumed. Yields run 15 to 35 hectolitres per hectare across some two thousand hectares, from Écueil and Chigny-les-Roses to Verzenay, Trépail, and Bouzy-Ambonnay.

The house takes its name from Augustus, who planted the first Roman vines on these sacred lands, and from the Remi, the people who guarded them. That double inheritance — imperial and earthly — is what we pour.

Access

A direct line to the people who made it.

Members receive a private channel to Damien, Julien, and the chefs and growers we work with. Ask what to open tonight. Request a magnum for an anniversary. Arrange lunch on the Montagne when you're in France in August. It is the part of the club members tell their friends about.

Logistics & Compliance

One crossing for the cercle, never a parcel from France.

To keep the logistics one hundred percent legal and free of customs friction, no individual transatlantic shipment is ever made. Our bottles travel once, together, as a centralised global buffer stock consigned to our licensed import partner in Florida — cleared, bonded, and stored there before any local delivery leaves.

01 · Centralised stock

A single consolidated consignment leaves Reims for the cercle — no five hundred private parcels crossing the Atlantic.

02 · Licensed importer, Florida

Customs, duties and excise are cleared by our approved partner, who holds the stock in bonded, temperature-controlled storage.

03 · Age-verified last mile

Your caisse ships domestically from Florida, delivered against adult signature and photo-ID age verification.

First wave · guaranteed

Due to the exclusivity of our allocations and our secure United States import logistics, your first collector box and case of exceptional Champagne will be shipped within a guaranteed two-month period after your subscription.

Notes are reviewed before publication. Discretion is part of the membership.

No published notes yet — yours could be the first.

From $200 a month, or $2,160 a year

500 members. Not one more.

Applications are reviewed weekly and admitted by referral from our partner network. When the five hundredth seat is taken, admissions close and an official waitlist opens — candidates are admitted, in order, only as seats are released. Validate your adhesion now and you join the first wave, with your first box guaranteed to ship within two months. Dues are payable monthly or annually by card; settlement in crypto — USDC, USDT, BTC or ETH — is arranged on request with the concierge.
